Settings
Personal settings — profile, editor preferences, and email notifications.
The Settings modal is your control panel for everything that follows you across workspaces — your name and avatar, your editor theme, and the notifications Fuser sends you by email. It's separate from workspace-level settings (members, teams, billing for the workspace itself), which live under their own tab.
Opening Settings
Click the workspace switcher in the top bar, then the gear icon next to your identity. Settings opens in a modal — its own routed page, not an overlay inside the canvas.
The modal has tabs along the side. The personal tabs are Profile, Providers, Billing & Plans, Editor, and Notifications. Workspace, Workspace Billing, and Recovery are workspace-scoped and only show up when you're inside a workspace.
This page covers the three personal tabs that don't have their own dedicated docs: Profile, Editor, and Notifications. For the others see Providers, Billing & Plans, and Workspace Settings.
Profile
The Profile tab is your account identity. It holds:
- Name — what other people see next to your contributions, comments, and shares. Free-text, unicode-friendly.
- Username — your unique handle (4–15 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores). Used in URLs and @-mentions. The field validates as you type and checks availability live; if a name is taken, you'll see it before you submit.
- About me — a short bio (up to 255 characters) shown on your public profile and on community templates you publish.
- Avatar — the small image that represents you across the app.
- Email — read-only. Tied to the account you signed in with.
Changes save with the Update button. There's also a Logout button at the bottom of the tab.
These details follow you into every workspace you belong to — you don't have a separate profile per workspace.
Editor
The Editor tab controls how the Fuser interface looks and feels.
- Theme — pick Light, Dark, or System. System matches your OS appearance setting and updates automatically when it changes.
Theme is saved locally per browser, so it doesn't follow you across devices — a fresh browser starts on the default until you set it again.
Notifications
The Notifications tab is where you opt in or out of email Fuser sends about events that affect you.
Toggle each category independently:
- Comments — when someone replies to a comment thread you're in or @-mentions you.
- Sharing — when someone shares a project, folder, or workspace with you.
- Teams — when you're added to or removed from a team.
- Workspace — workspace-wide events like role changes, plan updates, or admin actions.
In-app notifications stay on
These toggles only control email. In-app notifications — the ones that show up in the notification panel inside Fuser — are always on, regardless of what you set here.
